One Will Be… (2011) – Trombone and Electronics

One Will Be… explores the interaction of notes but not in a harmonic sense. The electronics provide a subtly shifting drone for the trombone to work around to produce audible beats in the sound.

One Will Be… Was written over a long period of collaboration with the player Jonathan Wettermark. I would like to thank him for all his input and help with the piece but mostly for his patience while the bugs in the electronics were being worked out.
