This concert is part of a tour featuring premieres of music for the rarely heard contrabass flute written for low flute specialist Carla Rees. The programme will include music by Matthew Whiteside and Michael Oliva among other new music for contrabass flute and electronics.

The National Lottery through Creative Scotland Open Project Funding has supported the Scottish concerts, and along with Help Musicians UK Career Development Bursary, the development of Matthew’s new piece.
