Emma Lloyd and Matthew Whiteside present an evening of music for viola d’amore, viola and electronics. The programme is the culmination of a collaboration between Emma and Matthew and will be based around the premiere of Matthew Whiteside’s new work for viola d’amore and computer, featuring new technology developed during the collaboration to enhance the performer’s interaction with the electronics. The programme will also include Gerard Grisey’s Prologue (from Les Espaces Acoustiques)and Ed Bennett’s Ghosts.
The concert will include the release of Matthew’s Creative Scotland funded album, which will be available on the night.
Emma Lloyd is a multi-string instrumentalist based in Edinburgh and Matthew Whiteside is a composer for concert, film and installation based in Glasgow.
