Commissioned and recorded by the Glasgow Barons. Air,Ground, Life is a musical response to climate change.
Each movement explores a different facet of the earth with the slow moving techtonic plates of Ground developing into the light airiness of the harmonics in Air and finally onto Life and mechanisation.
The work finishes by referencing modified versions of the material in Ground and Air. This is intentionally ambigious and could be seen as a warning about where we are heading, if we do not change our ways, or a call for respectful symbiosis with the Ground, the Air and the Earth.
